eAttestation
An eAttestation is an electronic confirmation from an accredited body that has been signed with the digital accreditation symbol. Examples include digital laboratory reports, calibration certificates, inspection reports, or certificates.
According to DAkkS, the digital accreditation symbol is the machine-readable, technically verifiable counterpart to the classic accreditation symbol. It enables digitally signed, tamper-proof, and machine-readable confirmations of conformity. DAkkS describes eAttestations for formats including PDF and XML.
Memida checks eAttestations in uploaded PDF and XML documents according to the current DAkkS technical requirements for the digital accreditation symbol. For our users, this means: Memida evaluates whether the digital proof is trustworthy, unchanged, and valid. The result is then used as a valid or invalid eAttestation in documents and reporting.
